W.D. Lee

W. D. Lee & Company, Inc., a precision and general machine shop, was founded by the late William Doyle Lee in 1954. Originally working out of his home, he repaired and installed textile equipment. With Mr. Lee's reputation for producing precision machine parts for this textile equipment, he was soon able to move into an 8,000 square feet building.

W. D. Lee's son, Jerry Lee, is now President of the company. Jerry's sons, David and Dennis Lee, are Vice-Presidents and his daughter, Karen Rhyne, is Office Manager for the company.

Today the company has expanded to 22,000 square feet and employs 25 people. Although W.D. Lee & Company, Inc. started with the Textile Industry, it now produces machine parts for a wide range of industries. These industries include: Cable, Fiber Optics, Medical, Chemical, Lumber, Rubber, Styrofoam, Plastics and Automotive.

W.D. Lee & Company, Inc.'s 22,000 square foot building has some of the latest state-of-the-art equipment found in the manufacturing industry. There are both manual and fully automatic CNC equipment to allow long run productions, to single proto-type work, and every thing in between. W.D. Lee & Co., Inc. can handle the largest work and the smallest. We have CNC lathes that can swing 37" diameter and a CNC mill with 10' (feet) of travel. We also have hand screw machines for small turning and a wire EDM to cut down to the 0.0001 of an inch.
